Overview

Are you ready to explore Antarctica with no Drake Passage crossings required?! With a spectacular aerial view, you can reach your expedition vessel with an exciting charter flight between Punta Arenas, Chile and Antarctica. You will be experiencing the majesty of the 7th continent in style!

Keep your camera ready as you cruise in a Zodiac in search of whales, seabirds and astounding icebergs. Beaches dotted with leopard seals and penguins give way to icy plateaus, with snow- capped mountain peaks looming behind. You will find yourself thankful for the near-constant sunlight by which you can continue to take it all in.

Important Program Notes:

  • Prices: Please contact us for specific pricing on the ship and date you may be considering. For easy reference, in 2018, Twin cabins on the Ocean Nova start at US$12,395/person while Window suites on the all-suite Hebridean Sky start at US$14,895. Triples are available on both ships for less. Upgrades at extra cost may be an option too depending on availability.
  • All travelers receive comprehensive pre-departure materials prior to the expedition including a "what to bring list" and other valuable information to insure a wonderful trip.
  • Deposits are 2,500/person with balance due 120 days before a trip. $500 of the deposit is non-refundable until within 179 days of departure, when the deposit is 100% non-refundable. Due to the special nature of these expeditions, special cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply. We can send specific details on request - please contact us for more information.
  • The maximum baggage allowance is 20 kilos of luggage per person, including carry-on. We highly recommend soft sided luggage and bags.
  • English is the official language on the cruise.
  • The minimum age is 8 years old. Children between 8-12 receive 5% off.
  • For single travelers, we recommend signing up on a "willing to share" basis. If you are willing to share a cabin, there is no single supplement. This is only an option in Twin cabins on the Ocean Nova, and Window suites on the Hebridean Sky. If you require a guaranteed single cabin, add 85% to the normal per person sharing rate.
  • Sea kayaking (US$895/person) and hiking/snowshoeing (US$195/person) on Antarctica are optional activities on request (subject to availability). An extra deposit would apply.
  • Because of the temperamental nature of this region's legendary environment, travelers need to be aware and prepared for contingency touring plans (conducted by Expedition representatives) in case inclement weather precludes flying. We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover any trip interruption/delay scenarios. We can send details of these contingency plans on request.
