Day 1 : Arrive in Chamonix
Visiting: Chamonix
Arrive in the Chamonix Valley.

Day 2 : Ski from Chamonix to the Argentière hut
Visiting: Chamonix to Argentière hut
Meet your guide and group at 1 pm at the guide's office. From Argentière you'll take the Grands Montets cable car (10,810 ft / 3,295 m). From this altitude there are incredible views and the first descent of the tour is along the Argentière glacier. Night in the Argentière hut where the guide will explain the program for the week and talk about security in the mountains.

Day 3 : Ski from the Argentière hut to Champex
Visiting: Argentière hut to Champex
Today you cross the Col du Passon and cross the Tour glacier to the Col Supérieur du Tour. After crossing the Trient glacier climb to the Col Ecandies, which opens to the Arpette valley and a long downhill to Champex.

Day 4 : Summit the Rosablanche and ski to the Prafleuri hut
Visiting: Col Gentianes to the Prafleuri hut
The day starts with a transfer to Chable at the Verbier ski resort and then a cable car to the col des Gentianes. After crossing several passes there is the option to reach the Rosablanche summit (10,945 ft / 3,336 m). You have an easy downhill to the Prafleuri hut.

Day 5 : Ski to the Col des Roux and climb to the Dix hut
Visiting: Prafleuri - Col des Roux - Dix hut
You reach the Lac de Dix passing through the Col des Roux and climb to the Dix hut (9,606 ft / 2,928 m).

Day 6 : Summit the Pigne d'Arolla and ski to the Vignettes hut
Visiting: Dix to Vignettes hut
Today you reach the highest point of the Haute Route: the summit of the Pigne d'Arolla (12,454 ft / 3,796 m) via the Tsena Refien glacier. Depending on conditions you will need crampons. You then have an easy and breathtaking downhill to the Vignettes hut. Overnight in the Vignettes hut.

Day 7 : Ski to the Bertol Hut via the Col de l'Evêque
Visiting: Vignettes to Bertol Hut
Today you have an outstanding stage: Col de l'Evêque to the impressive Bertol hut high on a rocky outcropping.

Day 8 : Ski from the Bertol Hut to Zermatt to Chamonix
Visiting: Bertol Hut to Zermatt
Across from the Dent Blanche you reach the summit of Tête Blanche (12,172 ft / 3,710 m). Then you have a long downhill on the Stöcki glacier to Zermatt with amazing views of the Matterhorn. In the distance you can see the Mont Rosa and the Mischabel. Once you reach Zermatt you have the choice of a transfer to Chamonix in the afternoon (extra cost) or to stay on in Zermatt.

Day 9 : Departure
Visiting: Chamonix or Zermatt
If you've transferred to Chamonix you can depart by shuttle bus to the Geneva airport (extra cost). If you've stayed in Zermatt you can take a train back to Geneva or elsewhere in Switzerland (extra cost).
