Itinerary

Day 1 : Fly to Masai Mara

Visiting: Masai Mara (Karen Blixen Camp)

Today you'll be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and transferred to the Nairobi Wilson airport and your waiting aircraft. Join your flight to the world famous Masai Mara. Upon arrival, your safari guide welcomes you at the airstrip and drives you to Karen Blixen Camp.

Set on the bank of the Mara River, the camp consists of 22 luxurious tents. The location is spectacular, with the great Mara plains behind the camp and the impressive escarpment and the river in front. After lunch at camp you experience your first game drive. Dinner and overnight at Karen Blixen Camp.

Day 2 : Explore the Masai Mara

Visiting: Masai Mara

During the day, you'll go on a game drive through the Masai Mara. The game reserve is best known for its wildebeest and zebra migration, which typically passes through every July to October, but the ecosystem offers wonderful game viewing year round. Enjoy breakfast and lunch at camp. An optional balloon safari is on offer for a surcharge for those seeking a unique bird?s eye view of the bush. Dinner and overnight at Karen Blixen Camp.

*** Extra Day Option: You do have the option to make this journey a 9 day safari. These trips start every Tuesday. On the extra night you would stay at Karen Blixen Camp for one more night.

With the extra day, you'd experience an exciting bush walk. Walking in the middle of the African bush flanked by armed Masai guides is truly an amazing safari experience. Oloisuk is a private concession area offering plenty of wildlife experience and breathtaking view of the Mara plains.

Day 3 : Fly Masai Mara to Amboseli

Visiting: Masai Mara / Amboseli

After your early morning bush breakfast you fly into Amboseli area. On the way from the airstrip you can admire the marvelous scenery and the park's famed wildlife. The camp is perched on an escarpment offering a thrilling view over Amboseli Park and of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch at camp, you'll visit a typical Masai village and gain insight into the day to day life of the people. Dinner and overnight at Satao Elerai.

Day 4 : Explore Amboseli

Visiting: Amboseli

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. You drive back to your camp for lunch. Afterwards, you'll have time to relax and enjoy the wonderful panoramic view from your camp. This afternoon, experience a game drive through the conservation area. When the sun starts to go down behind the horizon, you enjoy a bush sundowner. On your way back to the camp, you'll experience the Kenyan savanna at night - a unique experience. Dinner and overnight stay at Satao Elerai.

Day 5 : Fly to Tsavo West

Visiting: Amboseli / Tsavo West

After breakfast you fly into Tsavo West National Park, where the team of Severin Safari Camp awaits you for lunch. Afterwards, you have time to relax at the refreshing Kenbali Spa. Enjoy the beautiful scenery from the camp pool or relax during one of the massages. Inspired by the African wilderness and centuries-old Southeast Asian practices of well-being, the Spa is an oasis of peace and tranquility. In the afternoon, you go on an excursion to the popular Mzima Springs, a classic oasis of palm trees and acacias. At Poacher's Lookout, you will enjoy the sunset while having a glass of sparkling wine and canaps.

Day 6 : Fly Tsavo West to Tsavo East

Visiting: Tsavo East

Discover the secrets of the African wilderness by foot! You are accompanied by a Masai, who shows you the landscape. During the walk you'll learn about the ecosystem, the rich bird life and other park inhabitants. After breakfast you'll fly with your luxurious Cessna to Tsavo East. This part of the park is very popular for its impressive herds of red elephants. At the airstrip, you are picked up by your guide, who will bring you to Satao Camp. After lunch you experience your first game drive in the area. Dinner and overnight at Satao Camp.

Day 7 : Discover Tsavo East

Visiting: Tsavo East

Today enjoy a game drive with picnic lunch en-route to the scenic Luggards Falls area on the Galana River. These amazing "falls" are in fact rapids where the Galana River disappears into a rocky gorge. The beauty of the site is the multicolored rocks carved over centuries by the water into a variety of finely fluted shapes. The rapids, which become rampaging floods during the rainy season, plunge into a large pool below where giant crocodiles are resting and lying onto sandbanks. We'll make time for another lovely evening sundowner in the bush. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Satao Camp.

Day 8 : Fly Tsavo East to Mombasa

Visiting: Depart

After returning from your early morning game drive you will have breakfast at camp. Afterward your driver will bring you to the local airstrip and you will depart with your luxury aircraft for your flight to Mombasa. From the airstrip in Mombasa you are brought to your beach hotel or to the airport and catch your onward flight.
