Southern Africa: Savuti Camp (Botswana)

About the camp

Savuti Camp is a small, intimate camp along the Savuti Channel in the Linyanti Concession in northern Botswana. After many dry years, the Savuti Channel is once again a deep, clear waterway sheltering hippo, birds and a myriad of aquatic life. The camp is situated in an isolated area, far from any other people and divided between seven large, comfortable walk-in tents. Each tent is built up on a platform with views of the flowing Savuti Channel waters and has a private bathroom with an indoor shower. A dining room and pub are also on raised platforms and are covered by rustic reed and thatch roofs. A plunge pool and expansive viewing area with a fire pit stretches outwards towards the Channel.
