On this trip you'll discover the Toubkal National Park and visit Berber villages.



The night before your trek will be spent in the Kasbah du Toubkal, a well-known mountain retreat.



Starting in the town of Imlil below the Jbel Toubkal you'll hike to the village of Setti Fatma in the Ourika Valley. Four days of trekking takes you across beautiful mountains and through several remote Berber villages. Each night is spent in a Berber village house, a hut, or camping.



This trek can also be done in reverse from Setti Fatma to Imlil. We can also arrange for a 4-day itinerary with 3 days of trekking and you can combine either of these treks with an ascent of Jbel Toubkal.

Day 1: Arrival in Imlil

/wp-content/uploads/ You'll be picked up at your hotel or the Marrakesh airport and driven to the mountain town of Imlil. The rest of the day can be spent discovering this Berber village.

Day 2: Trek from Imlil to Oinskera

/wp-content/uploads/ The trek departs the Kasbah du Toubkal after breakfast. You'll hike to the Tachadirt valley passing by Tizi n? Tamatarte (7,477 ft / 2,279 m). In the afternoon you'll to arrive at the village of Oinskera and spend the night in a Berber hut or in a tent. 5 hours walking.

Day 3: Trek past Tizi n?adis

/wp-content/uploads/ From Oinskera the trek continues toward the Ouikmaden ski station passing by Tizi n?adis (9,580 ft / 2,920 m). After hiking across remote mountain trails you arrive at a hut or set up camp for a night in a tent. 5 to 6 hours walking.

Day 4: Trek to the village of Timichi

/wp-content/uploads/ The trek departs Ouikmaden and heads toward Timichi. You'll passing by the Tifrguin, Tizi n?Oater (10,170 ft / 3,100 m) and the Atar pass. In the afternoon the trail passes through several villages along the Ourika river: Agounes, Tamgist, and Timichi. You'll spend the night in in a Berber hut or in a tent. 6 to 7 hours walking.

Day 5: Trek to Setti Fatma then transfer back to Marrakesh

/wp-content/uploads/ In the morning you depart Timichi and hike toward Setti Fatma. There are numerous Berber villages in the valley including Tiourdiou, Anfles, Tadrat, and Chiker. After lunch the trek continues to Agadire Nboulman and the center of Setti Fatma. If there is time upon arrival you can visit the waterfall in Setti Fatma. 4 to 5 hours walking. Transfer back to Marrakesh in the late afternoon.
