This trip starts and ends in Seattle, or do a one-way between Seattle and Walla Walla.

Day 1: Drive and ferry from Seattle to Orcas Island (4h Driving/Ferry)

Depart this morning from Seattle and head north. Enjoy vistas of the snow-capped Cascades as you drive through epic tulip fields upon entering the Skagit Valley. Continue on to the port town of Anacortes where you catch your ferry to cross over to Orcas Island. While on the ferry, keep an eye out for pods of whales, seals and cormorants. Upon arrival at the quaint Orcas ferry dock, unload and drive east to the quiet sanctuary of Doe Bay.

Overnight at Doe Bay in a yurt, cabin or camping.

Day 2: Whale Watching or Kayaking at Doe Bay

Later, choose to kayak or whale watch for an incredible afternoon in the San Juan Islands!

Day 3: Hike Mt. Constitution and Explore East Sound on Orcas Island

Today venture up the stunning Mt. Constitution where, from the top, you will be rewarded with stellar views of the surrounding San Juan Islands and the North Cascades back on the mainland.

Afterwards, reward yourself with a refreshing beverage at the Barnacle Bar in East Sound and toast to your final night on Orcas Island.

Day 4: Ferry and Drive to the North Cascades National Park (3h40m Driving)

Ferry back to the mainland this morning and make your way into the craggy, glacier-studded North Cascades National Park. Depending on what you're looking for, we will help plan the perfect experience and appropriate camp site for you. Fall asleep nestled between electric blue lakes and old growth forests.

Day 5: Hike or Canoe in the North Cascades

Today, based on your preferred activities, you will have the chance to hike or canoe. Stand atop stunning summits while taking in the sea of peaks around you or blissfully paddle along emerald glacial pools as you explore remote mountain beaches.

Day 6: Hike to Cutthroat Lake, Wine and Dine in Winthrop, Methow Valley

This morning, drive from the North Cascades to Winthrop. Stop along the way for a hike to Cutthroat Lake. For those looking for a more challenging option, continue on to Cutthroat Pass.

Arrive in the old western town of Winthrop and enjoy a wine tasting and amazing dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 9: Drive from Mazama to Frenchman Coulee along the Columbia River (3h Driving)

Drive from Mazama to Cave B Inn and Spa in Frenchman Coulee while snaking along the picturesque Columbia River. Upon arrival at Cave B, enjoy a hike around the area or relax with a wine tasting.
