11-Day Little Tibet / Taste of Ladakh

Little Tibet / Taste of Ladakh -- Trip Photo of India tour  India map

Overview Itinerary Pricing

Overview

You will visit the most important sights surrounding Leh, located in northern India in a dramatic high-altitude region often referred to as “Little Tibet.” You will have ample opportunity for experiencing authentic Tibetan culture as well as seeing the surreal mountain landscapes. You will find more original Tibetan Buddhist monasteries than in Tibet. In Ladakh, Tibetan culture thrives without any state interference. Travelers to Ladakh can enjoy Tibetan culture while avoiding potential hassles and uncertainties of a Tibet tour.

We can easily plan this trip to coincide with any of these major festivals:

- The Hemis Festival: July 3 & 4, 2017; July 23 & 24, 2018

- The Phyang Tsesdup Festival : July 21 & 22, 2017; July 11 & 12, 2018

- The Tak-Tok Festival: August 2 & 3, 2017; July 22 & 23, 2018

Please be aware that that flight prices between Delhi and Leh in June and early July are higher due to the area’s huge popularity with domestic Indian tourists. From mid-July to mid-September the flight prices are lower.
