Who needs a Visa?
To enter Bolivia as tourists, U.S. citizens require entry visas. The tourist visa for US citizens is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue and the admission period per year is ninety (90) days.
Canadian, Australian and most European citizens do not require a visa to enter Bolivia.
Entry Requirements
- Your passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay.
- You must have tickets and documents for return or onward travel.
- We recommend at least 2 blank pages in your passport per country visited.
Immigration: The document required to visit Bolivia is the passport valid for at least 6 months. Do not forget to check if you need visa to come into the country.
Health: To enter Bolivia there are no compulsory vaccination required; however, for people entering the jungle, it’s recommended Yellow Fever Vaccine and it would be important to consider taking anti-malaria tablets (ask your doctor).
Customs: It’s forbidden to carry weapons, narcotics, plants and vegetables.
