This trip is 100% customizable.
If time allows, you can expand an 9-day fly-in safari to last longer (up to 13-14 days) or you can shorten it up too. Short fly-in safaris of as few as 3-4 days in/out of Maun or Victoria Falls are possible - please inquire with us if interested. However, an 8 or 9-day (as we outline it here) safari permits enough time to equitably visit the best of the Okavango Delta, northern Botswana, and Victoria Falls. Flying low over the Delta and staying in remote, exclusive camps, we'll take you to areas with abundant, classic African wildlife.

Full Itinerary
Day 1: 8-NIGHT BOTSWANA SAFARI / Arrive Maun MUB, fly to Okavango Delta and begin your safari (D)
Plan to arrive Maun, Botswana about 1pm today. Check into the light air counter and fly to the Okavango Delta. You will be met at the airstrip and driven to your camp in a private concession for tea. Activities at a water-wilderness camp in the Delta include guided walking safaris, boat excursions and tranquil mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions.
Botswana's magnificent Okavango Delta situated within the heart of the newly declared World Heritage site, is the world's largest inland delta, and is a maze of deep lagoons, large lakes and hidden, meandering channels. During the annual flood season, the Delta covers a vast area of over 16 000 km² before shrinking to less than 9 000 km² in the dry season. Trapped in a basin of parched Kalahari Desert sand, the freshwater oasis attracts wildlife that depends on the permanent waters of this unique environment.

The ancient riverine forests, open savannah, serpentine channels and seasonal floodplains that surround the camp make for a varied habitat of exceptional fauna and flora. The camp is one of the few offering a year-round land and water game-viewing experience, in open 4x4 safari vehicles or powerboats.
The diverse habitat ensures prolific sightings of Elephant, Buffalo, Hyena, Giraffe, Hippo, Wildebeest, Kudu, Lechwe, Lion and Leopard, and many others. Birding is spectacular, especially in the spring and summer months when the migrants are breeding.
Safari activities are conducted by expert guides eager to share their in-depth knowledge and impart the treasured secrets of this great wilderness.
