Trips to Europe

AWR offers two of the best and most popular hut-to-hut treks in the European Alps. The famous Haute Route (or "High Level Route") links two of Europe's great mountaineering centers: Chamonix and Zermatt. You can either ski the route during the late winter (mid-March through mid-May) or hike the route during the summer (July through September).

Another summer trek is the Tour du Mont Blanc, the most popular long-distance hike in Europe. Making a complete tour of the Mont Blanc massif, this trek takes you through beautiful alpine landscapes in France, Switzerland and Italy.

All of these treks are led by certified mountain guides and mountain leaders and include overnights in cozy mountain huts.

Our Southern France River Trip is run in May and early June in the Massif Central mountains and in the Alps of Provence.
