Day 1: Cusco city walking tour
This half day is spent with your guide, wandering from your hotel through the main attractions of the city cobble-stoned streets lined with Inca walls. This tour connects important sites like the Plaza de Armes, the Cathedral, La Compania Church, San Blas and the crafts shops, Santo Domingo church, convent and monastery with the Temple of the Sun (Koricancha) found inside. It is a great way have an orientation of the city, learn Inca history, discover today's Peruvian culture and at the same time get acclimatized to Cusco's 11,000 foot altitude. Duration: 2 hours
Private tour: it may be morning or afternoon. We recommend morning to avoid the "group tour" crowds.
