3-Day Salkantay Trek
This 3 day adventure to the base of Mt. Salkantay has been designed for those travelers with limited time. You will follow the path of the Salkantay Trek to a luxury lodge and explore trails and glacial lakes below snow capped peaks. Add the Vistadome Train to Machu Picchu (not included), to complete your experience.
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Road to Soraypampa (LD)
Today is an exciting mix of culture and adventure. Pickup at your hotel. The day begins with visits to the Inca archaeological site of Quillarumiyoc, followed by an afternoon hike to Salkantay Lodge. Late afternoon at leisure to enjoy the dazzling sunset over Salkantay Peak. At dinner, there will be a briefing for day two. Overnight lodge (LD).

Day 2: Hike to Salkantay Pass (BLD)
Today is a big day! After breakfast, you have an early morning departure from the lodge. With your guide, you will circle the Humantay glacier during your hike up the Rio Blanco River Valley to the breathtaking Salkantay Pass. Savor the views of the Salkantay glacier peak & Vilcabamba mountain range as you marvel at how far you have traveled. Lunch en route. Dinner and briefing in the evening. Overnight lodge (BLD).

Day 3: Visit to Humantay Glacier Lake (BL)
Today brings a unique opportunity for adventure and reflection. A vigorous morning ascent up the sloping hills adjacent to the Soraypampa plateau is rewarded with a stunning first view of the turquoise waters of Lake Humantay. Take some time to meditate in the tranquility of this magical spot and participate in a traditional Pachamama ceremony to honor Mother Earth. Return for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, we drive back to Cusco and to your hotel (BL). (Cusco hotel not included).
