Other Amenities: Awesome sundowners on a nearby hill overlooking the entire landscape, resident Masai guides, local Masai women sell handcrafts and jewelry right on site.
Pros: Arguably the best camp in hot, isolated Lake Natron, especially with essential shade from the huge trees over most of the tents. Gorgeous desert views. Interesting activities on offer. Camp operates with a sincere environmental ethos.
Cons: Hot! The Lake Natron region is unarguably the most inhospitable area to have a camp in northern Tanzania, so the camp, like all the others in the area, is very basic - not many amenities here. The camp is remote and very difficult to re-supply.
Advice: Excellent choice for travelers who've been on safari multiple times, and who love tribal culture but don't mind the heat, plus active, adventurous people.
