Full Itinerary
Day 1: Bus trip from Cusco to Puno with stops, tours and lunch en route.
Early morning transfer (optional) from your hotel to the Cusco bus station in time for your 07:15 a.m. departure. Your guide will be with you on the bus the entire trip, giving cultural information, history, geology and other tidbits about Peru! Your first stop is in Andahuaylillas, for a guided tour of San Pedro Church, a beautiful Spanish colonial church of gold. Next, you will have a guided visit of the Inca ruins at Raqchi. Lunch is at a restaurant where you will taste various Andean dishes at an extensive buffet. The afternoon will allow a stop at La Raya, the highest mountain pass on the way from Cusco to Puno. Finally, you will stop at Pukara for a brief guided tour of the museum which specializes in pre-Inca artifacts. Around 17:00 p.m., you will arrive the Puno bus station. Optional transfer to your hotel.
