You will raft the Chuquicahuana section of the Urubamba River, located about 2 hours south of Cusco, and above 11,000 feet elevation. This whitewater rafting offers a moderate to challenging (class III and IV) option by a beautiful canyon. Prior experience is not required, but is important to have swimming skills.
Season is year round, though November through March, the high water provides Class IV and IV+ rapids.
Pricing is for a group full day excursion, departing any day of the week. For private tour pricing, please contact us. Excursions for 2, 3 and 4 days are available as well!

Day 1: River rafting on the Chuquicahuana section of the Urubamba River
At 8:30 a.m. the guide will pick you up from your hotel (Cusco) and drive through the mountains towards the southern part of Cusco, until reaching the Chuquicahuana section (1 1/2 hours). Here you will receive a safety talk and the necessary equipment to enjoy this adventure. There are fast Class III and IV rapids for about 11 kms (around 2 1/2 hours). We will then be pampered by an exquisite picnic lunch on the riverside (with toilet facilities available). After lunch we go back to Cusco.
