Home to a variety of wildlife, the Masai Mara is one reserve where you can see the "Big Five" in a single morning. The Masai Mara stretches out over a flat grassy plain and is most famous for its annual migration of millions of wildebeest, which usually peaks between July through early November. The big cats do not migrate however so no matter when you visit the Mara, you are bound to enjoy excellent wildlife viewing.
Lake Nakuru is set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodlands and grasslands next to the town of Nakuru.
Samburu is another wonderful game reserve in semi-arid bush country located north of Mount Kenya
Full Itinerary
Day 1: 7-DAY KENYA SAFARI / Drive to Samburu, afternoon game drive (LD)
Depart Nairobi for Samburu via the scenic surroundings of Mount Kenya area. On arrival, check into your lodging for lunch, and after a brief relaxation time, proceed for an evening game drive in search for lions, elephants, gerenuk, grevy's zebra, onyx, the reticulated giraffe, and other plains game.

Day 2: Game drives in Samburu (BLD)
Early morning game drives, return to your lodging for breakfast. After breakfast, enjoy another game drive, returning for lunch. Relaxation mid-day, followed by an evening game drive.

Day 3: Drive to Lake Nakuru, afternoon game drive (BLD)

Depart after breakfast past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Lake Nakuru is home to thousands of flamingoes, buffalo, lions, zebra, giraffe, and many bird species. After lunch, proceed for an evening game drive.

Day 4: Drive to Masai Mara, afternoon game drive (BLD)

Day 5: Masai Mara game drive (BLD)
A full day is spent game viewing across the rich tree studded grassland and rolling hills. For an extra cost, you can visit a local Maasai village or enjoy a hot air balloon safari early in the morning.
