Home to a variety of wildlife, the Masai Mara is one reserve where you can see the "Big Five" in a single morning. The Masai Mara stretches out over a flat grassy plain and is most famous for its annual migration of millions of wildebeest.
Lake Nakuru is a very shallow strongly alkaline lake 39 square miles in size. It is set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodlands and grasslands next to the town of Nakuru. The landscape includes areas of marsh and grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland and rocky hillsides covered with forest on the eastern perimeter.
Mount Kenya is not just a single peak; it is a massif consisting of a multitude spires, cliffs, complex ridges and peaks.
Amboseli lies immediately North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular tourist destination.

Day 1: 10-DAY KENYA SAFARI / Drive to Amboseli, afternoon game drive (LD)

Depart Nairobi for Amboseli game reserve, an approximately 3 to 4 hour drive on a good road. Get to Amboseli in time for lunch at the lodge and proceed on for an afternoon game drive which provides a chance to see elephants, lions and many other plains game.

Day 2: Amboseli, morning and afternoon game drives (BLD)

Early morning game drive, return for breakfast and proceed on for further game drive, lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Drive Amboseli to Mount Kenya (BLD)

Depart Amboseli for Mount Kenya past the coffee plantations via Nairobi where we will have lunch en route.

Day 4: Drive Mount Kenya to Samburu, afternoon game drive (BLD)
After breakfast depart Mount Kenya for Samburu via the scenic surroundings of Mount Kenya area. On arrival, check into your lodging for lunch, and after a brief relaxation time, proceed for an evening game drive in search for lions, elephants, gerenuk, grevy's zebra, onyx, the reticulated giraffe, and other plains game.

Day 5: Samburu, morning and afternoon game drives (BLD)

Depart after breakfast past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Lake Nakuru is home to thousands of flamingoes, buffalo, lions, zebra, giraffe, and many bird species. After lunch, proceed for an evening game drive.

Day 7: Drive to Masai Mara, afternoon game drive (BLD)

Day 8: Masai Mara, full day game drive (BLD)
A full day is spent game viewing across the rich tree studded grassland and rolling hills. For an extra cost, you can visit a local Maasai village or enjoy a hot air balloon safari early in the morning.
